You only need five ingredients and 10 minutes to make the best buttery scallops. It’s so simple, yet so delicious!

Even though I love scallops very much, I was always hesitant to use them in cooking. Cooking these scallops is a no-fail proposition at $20 per pound.

Scallops are one of the quickest and easiest meals to prepare. They’re also just as good as restaurant-quality scallops.

This lemon butter sauce is unreal and the perfect complement to these perfectly seared golden brown scallops.

Remember to prepare your salads or side dishes in advance, as these scallops are ready in 10 minutes!

Ingredients

  • One tablespoon of unsalted butter
  • Scallops 1 pound
  • To taste, add Kosher Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper

For the LEMON BUTTER SAUCE

  • Two tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • Three cloves garlic, minced
  • Freshly squeezed Lemon Juice 3 Tbsp
  • To taste, add Kosher Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper
  • Fresh parsley leaves, two tablespoons

Instructions

  • Melt butter over medium heat in a large skillet.
  • The scallops can be cleaned by removing the side muscles, rinsing them in cold water, and then thoroughly patting them dry.
  • Season scallops to taste with salt and black pepper. Add scallops in a single row to the pan in batches. Cook, flipping the scallops once, until golden and translucent at the center. This should take about 1-2 minutes. Keep warm and set aside.
  • Scallops can be served immediately with a lemon butter sauce and garnished, if you wish, with parsley.
